This month's meeting will take place on April 3rd at 7:30 at 10 Elm Street, Boxford. The business meeting will come first, followed by a presentation on Deep Sky Observing by Zane Landers.

This talk will be about telescopes and accessories for observing deep-sky objects, what you can see, and how you can improve your view with upgrades like flocking and baffling your telescope. I'll also touch on what can be seen from a truly dark sky site with regular amateur telescopes as well as eyepieces.

Zane Landers is an amateur astronomer and telescope maker from Tucson, Arizona. Since the age of 12, Zane has been building, testing, buying, and selling telescopes, ranging from pocket-sized smart telescopes to 24” and 30” Dobsonians. Zane is currently the lead writer/editor for TelescopicWatch.com, one of the top websites for astronomy beginners looking to get started in the hobby, and is on the board of directors of DarkSky Southern Arizona.

The formal event starts at 7:30, but don't hesitate to show up at 7 to mix and mingle before the meeting.
